A pair of shoes with leather sole for a Manchurian woman or girl. The cream colored silk embroidered with polychrome silk and couched gold thread depicting birds in a lotus pond. The forward section decorated with ruyi head shaped velvet. Blue cotton lining. Condition: patina, few loose and missing threads, two not embroidered areas with splits. This item was made in Jingdezhen Southern China, for export to Europe, circa 1770 -1790, during the reign of the Qianlong emperor. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...

Small Guangxu ink well, circa 1880's, dense, heavy and beautiful. It could also have been used as a small brush washer and doubled as a document or paper weight when not in use. In good condition it has a few nicks around the outer edge expected with a well used piece. Measures 3.25 wide x 1.25 high.

Description:

A thin, white-glazed dish was decorated on the surface with vibrant motifs of a galloping horse among flowers and weeds.
By the rice-white glaze, it was revealed with the light grayish-tinted body clay on the rim.
With characteristic shape, the tear-dropping glaze, the dated and exact design of the motifs, and the obvious incursions(which in sore's-like condition under magnify glass) happened to the glaze, the dish can be fully verified its authentication...

A nice black glaze jarlet with slight thickly potted and fluted side body, covered overall with black glaze. Song dynasty 11th-12th century. Condition is near perfect except found a tiny flake glaze to body. High: 6cm.
