One of a group of very large Ming Dynasty pottery horse riders.

The figure is of a military attendant, wearing a hat and carrying a book or a map under his arm. He wears a blue robe with turqoise sleaves. The unglazed areas are covered with white and black pigmented colors.

Note that the painting is very detailed and includes wonderful gthick and perfectly rendered facial features.

A very rare Chinese jade of a stylized bird. The jade is translucent of a green and brown mottled coloration. Carved with a minimum of design giving an it a minimalistic, abstract look. It has large convex circles for eyes. The back has two interconnecting holes for passing a string through. The back has a naturally occurring hairline fissure of a dark reddish brown coloration. Has some calcification from long burial. Size: H = 1-3/8", W = 1-3/4"

A large dark grey-green nephrite jade winged animal with a bifurcated tail. Its head leans back, his mouth open and tongue out. There are spots and areas of beige and rusty brown that are natural to the stone or from age. Period:Ming Size:Length 15cm(6 inches}Width 10cm(4 inches)

Twenty two shells in all strung together as a necklace as they were originally.The Chinese character for money originated from the cowrie shell. Age: 2000 to 1500 BC. This is a 19th Century, flattened rectangular with rounded shoulders form snuff bottle, rounded short neck, and flat oval footing. It is made from Puddingstone. The stone has a creamy creamy suffused background, with blots of gray and black. It comes with a grayish russet stopper with spoon. This is a 19th century made bottle of a thick Bulbous rectangular form with rounded edges, thick straight neck, wide lips and mouth, and recessed oval footing. The well-hollowed bottle has been made in imitation of Realgar, with its mottled shades of red and orange in erratic nebulous forms. This is an original old Chinese poster of two women (actually men disguised as women) advertising cigarettes. Very early poster women were not allowed to pose for these posters.
