Condition: Overall in good condition except some wear at the lower part of the torso. Stand, part of left palm and religious weapon holding in the right hand were lost .

Waisted cylindrical form scholar's huanghuali wood brush pot with a slightly raised flat base and three low rounded feet. The feet, base and rim are finished with a finely executed narrow raised band. The honey-browm wood has a varied grain pattern displaying several distinctive guilian “ghost face” whorl patterns. 18th century or earlier. Measures 6”H x 5 5/8” diameter. Sold to Taiwan - May 2011 售至台湾 - 2011年5月 A rare 17th Century (probably late Ming) carving of the Hehe Erxian - the Twin Immortals of Union and Harmony - in typical pose, one holding a basket and the other holding its 'contents' - a bat a symbol of happiness. Condition - good - there are natural cracks and flaws to the stone but no damages or losses. 6.5 inches (16.5cm) long; 4.5 inches (11.5cm) high.
