Chinese Export Rose Medallion Porcelain Pepper or Salt Shaker, 2 5/8" diameter, 1 1/8" high, made late 1880's, "Long Life" Chinese Character written in three(3) areas inside the circle, enclosed by typical Rose Medallion pattern with overglaze Famille Rose colors of the roses and butterflies in gold highlight. Marked "China" in red on the bottom and large hole for cork stopper.

This is typical pattern of Rose Medallion with Famille Rose color of Mandarin in the court yard inside the enclosed cartouches surrounded with birds and flowering branches...

A Chinese Export double handled cup, a chocolate cup. Under-glaze blue decoration of a seascape with pagodas, diaper and scroll borders. Qianlong period, c 1760. Height "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: wear to the little dragon “ears” of the handles, otherwise fine.

A spectacular 19th century large Famille Rose pink-ground flared rim porcelain beaker vase, finely enameled with a pair of phoenix resting on cherry blossom limbs, surrounded by scattered peony blossoms. Orange peel glaze. Interior and base glazed turquoise. Measures 15" tall. Excellent condition.

Chinese famille verte porcelain stick neck vase, with a lady reading a book in the court yard followed by an attendant, the base with apocryphal Yongzheng mark. Size; Height of vase is 9 inches, no condition concerns.

Covered pot in Chinese Imari porcelain decorated with peonies and chrysanthemums in a pot. The domed lid is surmounted by a seated figure in gilt bronze.
The lips and the circumference of the lid are underlined by a floral motif in blue underglaze arranged in a frieze, enhanced by gilding and punctuated by small cartouches. The golden handles remind a plant motif...

A Chinese dish, enameled in Imari colours and gold with a fenced garden, peony and the auspicious pak choy plant. First decades of Qianlong (1736-95) or earlier. Diameter "9/ 22,5 cm and height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: glaze wear, hairline and rim frits, star crack to the back (cf. pictures).

Sparrow beak milk jug, Chinese export porcelain from late Kangxi or Yongzheng, early 18th century. Imari decoration: underglaze blue and overglaze red plus some gilt. The blue is clobbered - the way it is sometimes seen on the blue and white ginger jars with the classic cracked ice decoration - and the way the circular chrysanthemum flowers have been cut in halves shows Japanese influence. Height "4 ¾ / 12.2 cm. Condition: a hairline to the base of the handle.

Chinese export Imari plate, early 18th c. Outer border of scroll-work, the well with a bird and a blossoming tree motif within a diaper border, all in under-glaze blue and iron red and gilt over the glaze. Diameter "8¾/ 22,5 cm. Condition: some wear to the well and a 2 mm nick or glaze burst to the rim (cf. photos).

Chinese Kangxi period (1662-1722) globular form export porcelain lidded teapot with straight spout, loop handle, and domed cover decorated overall with panels of flowering plants in the Imari palette of underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze red pigments with gilt highlights set against a white porcelain ground. Small hard porcelain dish, enamelled decoration, with a bouquet of flowers and flowering branches in relief in the colors of the "famille rose". Chinese work from the end of the 18th century, probably made for export via the "compagnie de indies". Relief decorations are rare. Good condition, wear from use visible on photos. No restaure. Diameter 16cm.

Porcelain dish, decoration in underglaze cobalt blue. Although this dish is made for export, its exceptional quality is identical to the finest creations made for the chinese imperial court. The mastery of the brush is total. The painter who executed this work was one of the best hands of King-to-chen. The very high cost of a service of this quality allows us to affirm that this was the order of an important character...

This finely detailed Chinese porcelain plate would make a fine addition to any Rose Mandarin or Rose Medallion collection. It is unusual in that the central medallion features a group of scholars. The rough and somewhat gritty bottom of the plate without any factory markings suggest a factory production circa 1850-1891. In very good antique condition, there is some wear to the enameling in one spot. See photos. Measures 9.5 inches diameter.

Circa 1900, a lovely Chinese porcelain box featuring a floral theme on all sides with engraved bronze or brass metalwork. In excellent condition including the hinge, this box measures 5" x 3.5" x 2.55".
