Gloriously painted rare round fan of Court maiden in garden with peony flowers and bamboo grove, her beckoning gestures alluding to a secret rendezvous. Reverse with gold flecked silk backed paper, encased in a hardwood frame. Faux bamboo hardwood handle. Good condition.

Five 19th century Chinese School export paintings showing a torture, punishment or execution scene. Painted with watercolor on peepal leaf, fixed with an iridiscent glaze, individually framed in a later red lacquer frame. Condition: fine, few traces of usage. Chinese Qing dynasty (19th century) export watercolor on paper painting titled “Chinese Junk.” A lone figure stands at the front of the junk tending to the sails. The heads of the rowers are barely visible. Originally purchased from or framed at Berry-Hill Galleries on 5th Avenue in New York. Recently reframed with archival materials and UV glass in a substantial gold leaf frame with silk mat and gold filet. Sight size: 16 1/4" x nearly 22” (frame: 23 1/2" x 29”)...

18th century French engraving depicting Chinese palaces in a mountainous landscape. The scene is treated in the Chinese style and it is very likely that the draftsman was Chinese, however, the engraving is French and dates from the 18th century. Many details, beautiful print. No restaured Size about 40x60cm..

A genuine original copper engraved plan of the Chinese city of Quinzay (Hangchow) based upon the account given by Marco Polo in the late 12 century. From Mathew Merian's 'Topographica' published in Frankfort in 1638. Hand coloured. Image size 18.1 x 25 cm. Two sheets joined as published, some browning on far left border.
