Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period multi-lobed wedding collar embroidered in polychrome silk thread with flowers, birds, insects, and small animals on a silk ground. The collar is composed of two layers of streamers, with shorter red narrow streamers lightly stitched onto longer white streamers which terminate in ruyi heads. Applied ribbon and black edging outline the streamers. The neck and lining are cotton. Late 19th/early 20th century. 10” streamer length x 5” wide ruyi head...

Beautiful Chinese antique court lady's skirt, made all of different colored silk, all folded and sewn into tiny pleats, edges embroidered with scenes of birds and flowers, two larger panels have applied rectangles of silk minutely embroidered with birds and tiny bats and a design in gold thread. circa 1900. Antique chinese silk had mede for a child. The hat is beautifully embroidered with peonies and chrysanthemums. There are tassles, light pink, on either side. The top of the hat has a bird with a tassle in its beak, a smaller bird sits below. Republic period.
