This 19th Century traditional Han Chinese robe would have been used for winter wear. It uses dark black satin weave silk fabric, and has very wide cuffs with floral embroidery and the shape is trimmed out with a floral silk ribbon. The coat has its original buttons and fabric loop closures...and has original lining.

This pair of black silk lotus shoes date to the late Qing Dynasty. Back then, a woman's job was to make shoes for the members of her family. This woman was from a financially comfortable family with servants to do other household chores.
Making this pair for herself, she choose a black silk satin fabric for the vamp and made an elegantly sloping sole which would accommodate separate inter changeable heels to be attached...
Up for sale is an antique Chinese Qing dynasty embroidered dragon silk robe, Jifu, with nine 5-clawed dragons executed in couched gold wrapped threads; clouds, Buddhist & Taoist auspicious symbols, bats, sea waves, and standing water ( Lishui) are executed in brick stitch.Overall is in excellent condition, no frays across shoulders' folding lines.
Measurements : 54" from collar to bottom, 27" between arm pits, 85" across shoulders when stretched open, bottom width 42"
Up for sale is an antique Chinese Manchu woman's informal domestic robe; 19th century; trims embroidered with flowers and butterflies, and purple silk damask ground embroidered with dragon roundels, backed with light blue silk. Front enclosure to the right with 4 large gilt toggle-and-loop buttons. The robe is in good condition, vibrant colors! Slight discolorations & stains in few places of the purple silk, both front and back front, & white sleeve bands are soiled in few places...

Date: 19th C Dimensions:25.5" wide X 58" long Made by a woman of somewhat limited means, this pair of lotus shoes date to the late Qing Dynasty. The vamp has a contrast of lavender and purple cotton fabric. Each toe is decorated with a delicate floral embroidery.

Made by a women of the Miao minority often referred to as the "tiny Miao" ...not because of their stature but because they were recongnize for their "tiny" embroidery stitches...
This jacket was worn for festivals ...and shows some use...wonderful display piece and also could be worn by a small person....

Rare jacket back panel from the remote Miao Jiupang group from Jiahe County, Guizhou province (see last enlargement), with purple embroidered pattern between the spaces in the tin decoration. This style of decoration is unique to this group and very difficult to make, as every tiny bit of tin has to be individually cut and crimped. Recently acquired from a private Hong Kong collector, these are the first examples I have send of these I have seen in the past 15 years...

Made of silk, the lower part embroidered with flowers in satin stitch, the upper part with brocaded silk ribbons. Cotton lining and soles. Condition: fine, only little wear.
