A black-marble lion was in crouching posture. Being rendered by excellent carving skill, the lion was in fierce look by bulge eyes, bared teeth and tongue. Even though excavated with imperfections, the lion was still momentum by his strenuous muscle, the strong limbs and the flouring manes. Bing preserved with original condition from excavation, the lion was perfectly fit to a custom-made brass base which was desighed and hammered by a modern metal artist...

SOLD Antique Chinese pair of stone temple fu dogs. These fierce guardians would have been placed on either side of the entrance to a Buddhist temple in order to ward off evil spirits. One statue has its mouth open and the other mouth is closed, a symbolic trait to represent the in-and-out breathing of life and the sound of “om.” Heavy in weight.
