Statue of Buddha Amithaba, in monk's robes, sitting on an elaborate lotus throne, his hands in meditation posture ("abhaya mudra"). Gilt bronze. China, Qing Dynasty, early 19th century. Height: 24.5 cm. Old accident (restored) on the left side of the top of the head, otherwise very good condition.

Northern China Tang dynasty. 7th-9th century.It was soldered late with tin on a square bronze base so that it could stand upright.

The statue is more the ten (10!!) kg heavy, made from solid bronze. It has been exhibited in our family collection since 1950. Hand polished bronze in perfect condition, with some old age wears. Size: 41 cm x 28 cm x 21 cm Shipping included Statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, in monk's robes, standing on an elevated circular base, his hands in abhaya and varada mudra. Bronze with nice, partly encrusted patina. China, Tang Dynasty. Height: 11.7 cm. Very good condition.
Statue of Duowen Tian Wang, the Heavenly King of the North, elaborately dressed, wearing a diadem, holding the end of a ribbon with his left hand and a Buddhist scepter resting on a lotus in his right hand. The statue is standing on an square pedestal. The piece was originally lacquered, painted and gilt. Part of the lacquering is flaked, revealing the bronze oxydation. The statue was cast in China during the early Qing Dynasty, in the 18th century. Height: 37 cm. Very good condition.

The unusually small dimension leads one to assume that this is a travel mirror holder? The animal is lying down and the sculptor has modeled an exaggeratedly wide hindquarters to give good stability to the whole...

Ming dynasty, most probably Wanli period (1573–1619), a time when it is known that large number of Daoist images were made. ****H 38 cm. ****Condition: Generally very fine. Minor remains of cold gilt and colouring. One tip of a finger broken off.

She is depicted standing on a stylised cloud and holds ritual implements in both hands, a sword in her right hand while the left hand holds a gourd. Remains of cold gilt. China, Ming, 16th century. H 22,5 cm. Condition: Very good, but sward blade broken off and of course with some loss to the cold gilt.
