Another wonderful and large Chinese Buddha Bronze statue, approx. 18th century (Qing Dynasty), sitting on a square base, with a height of 38 cm and a width of 24 cm, weight 4,95 KG.

On the back marked 'Da Ming Yongle nian shi' (‘bestowed in the Yongle era of the great Ming’).

Buddha in very heavy cast bronze. Never been gilded. Very nice natural brown patina. Very well known model of the Kien-long period, which usually are gilded and marked with the reign and sometimes dated and which are always in embossed copper (see an example in my collection n°10). The one presented here is in cast bronze. Good condition, some minor wear and shocks, no restoration. Height: 17,6cm Weight: 1490g

Antique bronze incense burner - censer in the form of Laozi riding a buffalo, 17th-18th century (Qing dynasty), China.

Statue of Duowen Tian Wang, the Heavenly King of the North, elaborately dressed, wearing a diadem, holding the end of a ribbon with his left hand and a Buddhist scepter resting on a lotus in his right hand. The statue is standing on an square pedestal. The piece was originally lacquered, painted and gilt. Part of the lacquering is flaked, revealing the bronze oxydation. The statue was cast in China during the early Qing Dynasty, in the 18th century. Height: 37 cm. Very good condition.

An antique 18th century Chinese Bronze Buddha seated in the varda or granting of Boons mudra. 

This lovely Buddha is seated in the lotus or Padmasana position, with each foot placed on the opposite thigh. His robes cascade fluidly from his left shoulder.  His robe is draped to leave the right shoulder bare, and a portion of the garment that covers the left wrist falls behind the figure...

Small cast bronze incense burner in the shape of a duck. The bird is lying on its folded legs and gracefully twists its neck to groom its plumage. There has never been a lid because the opening on its back is clean without grooves and without any trace of friction or wear. The carving is of good quality, the eyes and nostrils are particularly well executed. Chinese work from the 18th century or much earlier. Below, between the legs, the bronze cracked and was repaired with tin solder...

Buddha in bronze cast with lost wax and gilded with mercury. The walls are very thick, the statuette is heavy. The gilding is original, certainly baked several times to obtain a nice thickness. The reverse of the dress is chiseled with stylized flowers. The base is closed by an incised copper plate of Vajra. The base does not appear to have been opened. The two arm bracelets were originally to have stone beads, today replaced by a colored coating...

A magnificent bronze Guanyin was preserved in a decent look.
By a very fine condition, the bronze deity was reserved with the original patina of the painted gold leaf and the enduring old and darken bronze sheen.
Sitting on the legendary holy beast- Hong, the Guanyin was in a easy-posture with one leg resting on the back of the animal and with another leg stepping on the lotus pedestal.
She was heavily cast by fine quality of bronze and was carved by brilliant crafts...

This piece has developed a nice deep brown / dark gray patina with several areas of greenish verdigris suggesting high copper content to the bronze...

A wonderful Chinese Bronze Buddha, crowned on a lotus seat with serene expression in the face.

The antique inscribtion says 'Ming Di Yong Ping San Nian Zhi', translatable as 'Made in the Third Year of the Yongping Reign of Emperor Ming'.

Ming Di was the posthumous reign title of Liu Yang, who succeeded to the throne on the death of his father to become the 2nd emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The third year of his rule would have been 60 A.D...
