Antique pair of bronze candlesticks in the form of two young Chinese boys. Dressed in traditional formal Chinese robes, the children each hold an elaborate two tiered candlestick in the form of porcelain bowls. One boy holds a fan while the other holds the corner of his robe. Elegant and detailed.

The trade continued to a lesser degree up to 1873 when Captain John Kirk told, the at that time, Sultan Barghash, a total blockade of Zanzibar was imminent, unless this practice was abandoned...

Antique Chinese bronze dragon's head. Most likely this dragon was part of a very large bronze piece and acted as a handle or finial. Wide, toothy mouth and single horn. Mounted on custom metal stand.
