A set of four vary rare blackwood Hungmu lady's side chairs. The chairs match as a pair except for the back panels. Two have a square and two have a circle. This most likely had some meaning for the owner. Age: Mid Qing. Size: H:94cm. W:48cm. Condition: No repairs. Some looseness from age. can be fixed very easily.

Antique Japanese 2-section isho tansu (clothing chest), made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The top section has two large full width drawers. The bottom section has one large full width drawer and one medium drawer. The lower right hand side has a safe box with heavy iron work on the hinged door. Inside are two small drawers. The front of the chest has beautiful heavy iron hardware including warabite shaped drawer pulls...

DESCRIPTION: A lovely Chinese bamboo-framed cabinet having painted scenes of bamboo and birds on a yellow ground. The rectangular top is mounted over a door that opens to an interior cabinet with three shelves. A delightful piece for the bedroom or country/cottage interior, 20th C. Antique Chinese hardwood buffet cabinet, with two sets of front swinging doors, each with round lock plates and hinges. The interior of each side holds a single middle shelf, with two small drawers below.

Pair of antique Chinese hardwood oxbow arm chairs, made of Jumu (elm) wood. The backrest of each chair has been carved with a coiled dragon, facing opposite to the other. The front apron of each seat is carved with a nice sloping outer edge. The legs are connected on all sides by a stretcher.

Chinese Huanghuali altar table, its front and side aprons carved with dragons and fireballs. The side panels between the table's legs are carved with reticulated motifs of scrolls and dragons. The table's surface woodgrain shows many distinct "ghost eyes" associated with Huanghuali wood.

Chinese large pair of restored cabinets, each in two stacking sections. These cabinets are made of jumu (elm) wood with dramatic grain. The bottom section of each chest has a large compartment with two shelves. The upper shelf of each compartment is outfitted with two small interior drawers. Chinese hardwood altar table. With jade "coins" wrapped into the wood apron, carved to resemble rope. Standing on four tall and narrow legs.

Antique Chinese small hardwood display cabinet, with multi-tiered platforms for the display of tea articles and other special pieces. The front of the cabinet has two front hinged doors carved with fu dogs, its apron below carved with scrolling motifs. The interior holds two small secret drawers and an open storage compartment.

Antique Chinese red lacquer altar cabinet/coffer. The two front swinging doors open by two metal pulls hanging from a round lock plate, the patina slightly oxidized green. The interior holds a single shelf. Above are two drawers opened with pulls, identical to the doors below. Original condition.
