Chinese glove puppet depicting a man with bright opera face paint and long beard that appears to be horse hair dressed in a heavily sequined pale yellow robe with red fur accents. The legs are covered in red and white checkered trousers. Painted wood face, shoes, and hands. Measures about 18" long. Possibly dates from the early 20th century. Old hand carved wooden ink pad box circa first half 20th century. I think this is probably a Yao item, but as I purchased it in a Bai ethnic minority market in Yunnan, over 20 years ago, we’ll assume it is Bai. This has a floral pattern carved on the lid. The ink has long ago dried up. Nice natural patina. L: 7.2cm/2.9in x W: 5.8cm/2.3in x H: 3.2cm/1.3in.

Chinese Rosewood Abacus, 11 1/2" long, 4 1/4" wide, 1 1/8" high, carved Chinese Characters between decks. The condition is as is but not damaged.

A round leather storage box possibly for the safe keeping of a hat, ornament, or item of dress. The box measures about 7 1/4" in diameter x 2 1/2" tall, and dates to the 19th Century. Chinese red lacquered on wood Bridal Oil Lamp stand with three(3) dimensional carving of pair of deer surrounded by pine trees on pedestal, Ca early 1900's, 13 3/4" high, 7 3/4" wide in front-widest measurement, 5 3/4" deep. Round old metal ring is attached for holding dish for oil. Red lacquer is worn on some area with usage but overall it is in good condition.

Substantial sized Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period tobacco pipe with bamboo stem, horn (probably ox-horn) mouth piece, and baitong (paktong, or white brass) bowl and shank. The pipe measures 23” (61cm) in length and the bamboo stem is about 1” (2 to 2 ½cm) wide. Late 19th to early 20th century. Clearly well used but in very good overall condition. Chinese carved Jade lamp finial, curved spinach green color large broad leaf shape, 4 3/8" high, 3" wide, 3 1/4" high and 3" wide-for Jade piece, with very decorative carved and embossed brass hardware, the tip of the leaf has some tiny frits but not very noticeable.

Chinese Complete set of Mahjong Set, Bamboo back bone front with colorful characters, total 144 pieces of tiles plus 4 round pieces of east, west, north and south and 4 square dices, many counting sticks.
