An attractive, light turquoise glazed porcelain jar. Anhua (‘hidden’ or ‘secret’) decoration of peonies and vine incised into the porcelain and discernable through the glaze. A six character Kangxi mark, also Anhua (incised into the porcelain), visible through the glaze centered inside the foot rim. The mark is probably apocryphal as we believe the jar is not earlier than 19th century.

Most likely Chinese in origin, this antique celadon tea caddy is a mesmerizing piece of art that exudes elegance and sophistication. Stoneware vase covered with a thick sky blue glaze stained with dark blue shades and purple spots. The base left unglazed reveals the construction of the vase, the very thick clay body and it seems to be made in 2 distinguished layers, one cream and the other brown. The vitrified glaze is very thick and runs in several places forming large drops. One of them was ground because, being too voluminous, it must have stuck the vase in the kiln...

A pair of blue and white Chinese Qing Dynasty plates. The smallest one has a 24 cm diameter, and is decorated inside with a geometric design at the center surrounded by a floral decor and a series of three concentric symbols going towards the rim, the potter's mark behind, and a very good condition...

Chinese Song Dynasty Six-Lobed Qingbai Porcelain Bowl

This unusual porcelain bowl was made during the 12th - 13th century. The inner surface is moulded into six panels. It is coated in a very finely-crackled qingbai glaze that is pale green with just a hint of blue. The rim remains unglazed as does the flat base.

This bowl was made in the 12th Century during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), a product of one of the kilns in Fujian province, probably the Tongan or Anqi kilns. It is fairly "heavily-potted" and coated in a yellowish-green qingbai type of glaze, save for the foot that remains unglazed showing the pale porcelaneous body...

Chinese Republic period famille rose porcelain figure of the immortal Fu holding a male child. One of the three Star Gods (sanxing), Fu represents good fortune. Impressed maker’s marks to base. Minor glaze losses and tiny chips. Originally had a horsehair beard. Early 20th century. 22” high. From the Phoenix, Arizona estate of a former expatriate to China from 1983-1987.

An interesting, rare and unusual, Buddhist Dehua image of a meditating Luohan in a cave overgrown with branches, his hands holding a begging bowl. This is a well-known motif of the Ming dynasty. Done with very fine details demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship. Hollow modeled. Signed with seal on the back: He Chaozong. Late Qing to early Republican Period, ca. 1900–1930. H 16 cm. Condition: Excellent. Most probably a unique piece and extremely charming!
