From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, a very high quality 19th century ginger jar done in the "1000 Antiques" design against a "cracked ice" ground, either Tongzhi (1862-1874) or Guangxu Period (1875-1908). One could be forgiven for thinking this piece is Kangxi (1662-1722) given the high quality of the paste, the high quality of the underglaze cobalt blue, and the proficiency of the painting. Indeed, if Kangxi, it should be two-three times our price...

Price on Request A stunning HONGZHI (HUNG-CHIH 1488-1505) DEEP Rich Yellow glazed dish with rounded sides supported on a tapered foot, the interior incised with an Imperial 5- clawed Dragon amidst Ruyi Clouds, encircled by a band of motifs. The exterior is decorated with auspicious symbols, applied overall with this deep/rich, yellow, shiny glaze. The base has the 6 character HONGZHI Mark. Size: 8 3/4" diameter x height 1 3/4"

SOLD Porcelain Chinese figurine of Tsao Kuo Chiu, who is a patron saint of theatrical profession. Richly decorated in polychrome enamels, Tsao Kuo Chiu is one of the 8 Immortals. We have never seen a theatrical monkey at the base, but he is a nice addition to this very unique 19th century Chinese figurine. Marked CHINA on the bottom, we are dating him Circa 1900. In excellent condition, he measures 7.5 inches tall.

It has a wonderful crazing and still vivid colours. The tea bowl was part of the collection of Dr. Walther von Krenner, one of the best connaisseurs of Asian Art in the world and writer of several books on Chinese and Japanese ceramics. It comes with a tailor made Japanese wooden box from a former owner... An amazing matching pair of a male and a female glazed pottery attendants from the Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.
This type & size is very rare and were made as tomb figures for wealthy and prominent people during the Ming Dynaasty. The male attendant with greyish-black robe over a cobolt blue and torquoise glazed dress and a round red hat and with black rim. Many nice details. He is standing a tray and a mug or cup in his hands...

Jiaqing Period, Qing Dynasty Porcelain with monochrome blue glaze D: 19 .1 cm / 7.5 in Perfect condition From a Hollywood, FL estate A Jiaqing mark and period circular dish, covered in a rich and bubbly cobalt blue glaze. Surface wear suggest that this dish had once been gilt-decorated with a dragon among clouds. The roughly written mark is typical for non-official wares of this period.
