A large, Museum Quality pottery figure of a male attendant carrying a bag over his shoulder. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.

The figure is placed on a large Lotus throne on top of high hexagonal plint, both in fine Sancai colours - a two-colour green and yellow glazed robe.

He wears a head dress. Finely hand painted facial details. Lotus thrones are very rare for Ming pottery figures...

A superb quality very large pottery figure of a male attendant or official, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1400-1500 AD.

The figure is placed on a high hexagonal plint and wears a fine two-colour blue and turquoise glazed robe. The unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black and white. Finely painted facial details.

The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period.

The figure holds his masters Ming hat in his arms...

Pair Chinese Ming Dynasty Painted Pottery Tiles - Horses

This fine pair of pottery tiles was made during the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644). They are made of a dense grey pottery and have been painted in black pigment. Each tile features, in high relief and in great detail, a flying horse surrounded by clouds. Mounted and lit well, these tiles make superb decorative items. 

The total length when both tiles are placed together is 51.5 cm (20.25 inches), height 25.5 cm 10 inches)...

This large pottery jar (or "hu") of fine form was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It has been coated with a greenish-amber glaze that covers the whole of the outer surface and the inside of the mouth. The slightly concave flat base remains unglazed. There are many decorative ridges and bands that surround the jar and on opposing sides at the waist are two moulded taotie ring handles...
