Rare 4.9cm/1.9in Thai green glazed stoneware bowl from the Sankampaeng kiln circa 15th/16th CE with two fish in the center and scalloped cavetto, there is well done repaired chip on the inner rim noted last enlargement. This is a classic and definitive piece for the Sankampaeng kiln as the incised/impressed fish motif is only found on ceramics from this Thai kiln. There are some blue flambé highlights in the center, probably accidental but quite attractive...

Special Offer: Rare cream colored glazed Myanmar bowl with incised lotus and flared rim design circa 13th/14th CE, found at the Tak Hilltop Burial Site along the border of Burma and Thailand. I bought this about 20 years ago, now you cannot find these anymore, this my last one. There are 3 repairs on the rim. Of these white wares from Burma, I have only seen one unrestored piece. D: 17.7cm/7in and H: 7.5cm/2.9in.

Rare Vietnamese 14th Century Green Glazed Stoneware Dish

This rare and interesting shallow bowl / dish was made during the 14th century. It has a raised "lotus-petal" rim and is coated in an apple-green glaze, save for a broad unglazed stacking ring around its centre. The glaze is somewhat uneven, with runs in places, its colour varying according to its thickness. The glaze is lightly crackled.

This rare stoneware bowl was made during the 14th century. The inner surface is decorated with incised lines forming six panels, with six decorative notches at the rim edge matching these lines. This deep stoneware bowl was made at the Sukhothai kilns during the 14th - 15th century. The pattern, in underglaze iron-black on top of a white slip, features a spotted fish. Around the central design are parallel bands, as at the rim on both sides of the bowl. The honey-coloured clear glaze is finely-crackled.
