This is an attractive old Japanese cloisonne vase with a silver wire bird and flower decorations. The vase has a rich look to it with bright glossy enamels. Has several very minor pits, scuffs or scratches but overall it is in very good condition. It is signed on the bottom with a red enameled chicken. This is a really fine piece of Japanese Golden Age cloisonne. The design and form are unique. We have only seen one other like this and it was the mate to this one. A good cloisonne vase depicting Mt. Fuji in clouds using 'musen' (wireless) technique with pleasing affect. The foreground with pagoda in autumnal landscape against mountain and river landscape - the mountains again using wireless technique to suggest fading into the distance, and the river also using 'musen' to suggest the flowing of water. The back of the vase continues the light blue mottled sky. Silver plated rims. Not signed, so we stop short at saying it is Ando school. Excellent condition...

This is a fine vintage cloisonne vase from Japan. The workmanship is very good and the rims are silver. We think the vase is a later piece made by Hayashi Kihyoe or Hayashi Tanigoro. The vase stands 7 3/8 inches tall and condition is excellent.

This is a very fine Japanese cloisonne vase. If your looking for a dragon piece this is one of the better examples you will ever find. There is some sculpted silver wire work on the dragon. The quality on this piece is even better than the dragon pieces we have seen that were signed by Miwa. The vase is signed on the bottom with the old double flag mark. It stands 7 1/2 inches tall and is in excellent condition.

A high quality cloisonne vase dating from the Meiji period. Design of ho-o birds among clouds on a green speckled ground. The shoulder with flowers on a black spiral ground. This is a very attractive Cloisonne jewelry chest from Inaba. It is a vintage piece, but still there a lot of work that went into this jewelry chest. It is decorated all over. There are two working drawers and both sides of the doors are also decorated. In the bottom area is a wind-up musical mechanism, that does work. The Phoenix Bird decoration on the top is very nicely done. The box is very heavy and it measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches deep...
