SOLD. THANK YOU. Exceptional gold on lacquer carving in the round, of mythological lion or temple guardian, together with a pair of cubs, resting on rectangular plinth. The figure dates from the 19th century of China's Qing dynasty. Workmanship and style associated with reign of Daoguang (1821-1850). Fine condition with one old repair to neck of one cub.
