Size is c. 9 x 9,5 m. - 3,5 x 3,7 inches.

Condition: Choice with smaller chips to the rim of the lid. A vertical hairline crack at the base.

Finely cast statue of Bodhidsattva Vajradhara, of typical Newari style, wearing diadem, necklace and dhoti, sitting on a double lotus throne,hands crossed on his breast, his left hand holding the bell, his right hand holding the vajra. Gilt bronze. Nepal, late Malla period, 16th century. Height: 7.2 cm. Gilding partly missing on some areas, otherwise very good condition.

A very fine antique 19th Century handmade THAI "PHAN" Flower Offering Tray in the shape of a stylized lotus flower. Intricately decorated with vines/foilage and flowers. Good condition. Height 7 cm x 9.5 cm top diameter.

Rare Chinese hat in silk, silver and gold kesi. Built like a melon with 6 pieces of sewn kesi. The ponpon is original in silk and silver. Excellent quality the points are tight and thick for more strength. The decor is extremely rare, it is made up of assembled cubes. From memory I remember having seen on an imperial porcelain a similar cubic decoration, it was specified that they were stylized dragons. A feminie curve defines this shapely vase by Miyashita Zenji enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Deisai Sanka Kaki - Sawayaka Kaze (Colored Clay Scattered Flower Vase - Gentle Breeze). The colored clays are of course, his most famous forte, and here he has added a rim of golden "flower blossoms" on black. The vessel is 29 cm (11-1/2 inches) tall, 10.5 x 23 cm (4 x 9 inches) at the base.

An antique Japanese large Taiko Drum with a Keyaki (Zelkova) wood body and strong leather ends. Beautiful rich deep sound when struck. All original hand forged iron hardware including the very large Taiko nails and the four carrying rings.

An antique Japanese Ko Tansu (personal storage chest) and of Kiri (Paulownia), Hinoki (Cypress) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Original hand forged iron hardware including the Mokko handles. A hinged door hides two small drawers behind and two sliding doors hide a storage space where books and reading material was tucked away.

Its original purpose was for the storage of papers, ephemera, letters, documents, books and small accessories. As a contemporary chest, it would work well as a bed...
