Refined skillful stone carving of such dynamic dragon with a ball in the mouth, and also its finishing of lid and fine details with scales are quite aesthetic. This piece was made at the southern China in last Ming period, exported to Japan and transmitted from generation to generation there. The pattern with "Looking back rabbit" was very popular. Unfortunately, the wooden box was lost. Certification: written by Noriki Shimazu the famous researcher for Asian antiques in Japan.

Sadamitsu Sugimoto, a great master of the ceramic art scene in Japan, was led by Tachibana Daiki the great Zen teacher and has been producing a lot of masterpieces through over 40 years .He has been studying the world of “wabi, sabi, and yugen” as his life's theme. Ancient Japanese Neolithic Jōmon Culture large ceramic vessel. The dramatically flared rim and other raised decorations indicate that this vessel was likely created for ritual use rather than as a food or cooking container. Clay was mixed with materials such as fibers, micha and crushed shells to give it an adhering quality. The walls of vessels were built up using a coil technique. Antique Chinese cloisonne vase. Globular form with long, straight neck. Decorated with designs of phoenix birds and flowers in yellow, green, blue, red and white enamel on a turquoise blue enamel ground. With a cloisonné four-character mark on the bottom.

Antique Chinese Chizhou stoneware kendi (handleless pouring vessel with spout). Also called Tz'u-chou, this high-fire stoneware is decorated with rich brown-black glaze. It has a raised design of a band of flowers around it's middle and a scalloped pattern around it's mouth. The elegant form has a tapered spout with a slight bend.

An antique Japanese Kimono Tansu made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Four large drawers and two small drawers comprise this chest for versatile organizing and storage. Original patina and hand forged iron hardware with straight dovetail Japanese joinery with hardened wooden nail construction. This chest would function well as a daily clothes dresser, a linen storage chest or an accept piece that would fit any room decor.

An antique Japanese 3 section Isho Tansu (clothing chest) made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. All original metal hardware with mitered and straight dovetail Japanese joinery reinforced by hardened wooden nails. Upper section has two sliding doors behind which are two small drawers and a split level shelf. The center section has four large drawers and the bottom section has three large drawers. The base riser adds 3 inches of height to the overall chest.

Magnificent Nezumi-Shino Chawan with a true wabi sabi aesthetic form and a thick feldsparic glaze on a classic background of Nezumi-Shino — an art form dating back to the Momoyama period of Japan that was revived in the mid-1900s by legendary potter Arakawa Toyozo and others.

Tibetan yak butter tea “po cha” or barley beer “chang” bowl carved from burlwood, possibly Rhododendron circa 50 to 100 years old. D:11.8cm/4.6in and H: 5cm/1.9in, there is one worn chip on the edge. A charming old piece- difficult to find these days. This was not turned on a lathe, but entirely carved by hand.

An amusing and very rare lantern in cast bronze, decorated in light relief with stylized cicada in the archaic style. The rear part cut out by crosses the front part open for the use of candles or oil lamp. The cast iron is of good quality and the finish is neat. The patina is very beautiful and guarantees the age of the object. I think it's a Chinese work but I have a doubt, it could be Japanese. A prominent vessel in iconic silver and Mo-ai blue glaze by important Kyoto artist Morino Hiroaki (Taimei) enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The blue glaze is flat and matte, while the silver rises volcanic creating waves both visually and physically, expressed through texture, light and shadow.
