Antique Japanese ranma (transom). Carved from sugi wood on both sides with a scene of a blossoming plum tree and stalks of bamboo. Framed in black lacquered hinoki wood. This architectural detail would have been built into a Japanese home usually over a door or window.

Antique Korean herbalist's medicine chest. Standing on low feet, this chest has 51 drawers and a small compartment at the very bottom opened by sliders. Each drawer is labeled in Korean and has a small metal ring for a drawer pull. The inside of the drawers are divided into two sections.

Antique Korean single-section kitchen storage cabinet. The top portion has 4 lattice panels. The two on the outside are stationery while the two in the center slide to open a large compartment. The lower portion of the chest has a pair of hinged doors which open to another compartment. On the bottom right is a small drawer over a box opened with a hinged door.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty naturalistic form wood scroll pot carved from a single piece of wood with human figures, a monkey holding the peach of immortality, and other creatures extending around the exterior. Decoration in Famille rose enamels of a large peony in bloom with an orange ribbon and some other scattered flowers, all surrounded by a thin diaper border in matte turquoise. Thick molten ash drivels over the shoulder of this fabulous 17th century Shigaraki Tsubo storage jar showing all the great attributes of Shigaraki ware.
