This very fine Nat known as "Ahmay (Mother) Shwe Na Bay" is a rare masterpiece of Burmese temple art. She protects fishermen and people working at Sea and on rivers. Japanese antique kannon biraki tansu (tansu chest with hinged doors), made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood with kiri (paulownia) wood on front, large doors with drop in iron hinges (doors can be completely removed), interior has 4 large drawers with bronze hirute shaped drawer pulls, Edo Period. Size: 35 3/4" high x 33 1/4" wide x 17" deep.

Japanese hanging tobacco pipe set consisting of a wooden pipe holder and a wood tobacco box in the form of the 2 mythical fishermen Ashinaga (Long Legs) and Tenaga (Long Arms). Tenaga's face lifts and functions as a cover for the tobacco box which still has much of the original tobacco inside. A fine Edo period black lacquer sake pot (choshi.) The ivy (Tsuta) mon in allover decoration in gold lacquer on the pot and cover. Intricate flowering 'karakusa' vine decoration on the handle. The discus-form pot with flat topped spout and hinged handle and raised on three ball feet. The round cover fitting snugly to the pot and with double flower finial (the two blooms joined facing one another to form a gadrooned sphere) on a 21 petal chrysanthemum boss both with details picked out beautifully...

Antique Chinese peach silk ladies robe with blue and gold embroidery. Wonderfully embroidered butterflies, phoenixes and fans in gold. Peony flowers embroidered in shades of blue and white. Detail on upper back with spider. Measures 47" x 29". Overall good condition. The embroidery is in excellent condition, the border slightly frayed. Late 19th c.

A belt made of a silver alloy, consisting of 17 rectangular plates, each with different depiction of animals or flowers. The belt buckle with plum blossom design and marked with Chinese character. Condition: traces of usage, repair and maybe shortened. Dimension: 68 cm long x 2.9 cm high, weight: 202 g.

Extremely rare and hard to find, is this truly exceptional Chinese cloisonne pitcher, enriched by geometrical designs and embodied with colorful flowers. The top and bottom borders are done in a royal blue cobalt contrasted by a turquoise backdrop entwined with golden wire. This wonderful item is dated to the late 19th century and stands 4 inches tall.

Rare 17th Century Tibetan Chakrasamvara Thangka with numerous inscriptions on the back. There is a tape repair on the center of the back. 26 x 19.5 inches, 66 x 50 cm.

A bronze "bombe" form censer with original stand, profusely carved with mythical creatures and traditional stories and with two fish handles. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later during the last 100 years of the Qing dynasty (circa 1810-1910). Condition very good - no damages or repairs. 24cm (9.5inches) across; 12cm (4.9inches) high with stand. Stand 17cm (6.7inches) diameter. Weight 2.5kg (5.5lbs).
