Description:

A Yaozhou conical bowl was in decent look with persimmon glaze.
The glaze was covered all over the surface except to the foot ring.
The foot ring was revealed with the body clay in gray tint.
The glaze surface was reflected in retrospective sheen in old look.

This is a profusely decorated ultra fine Japanese cloisonne vase. It is in perfect condition and panel vases like this one do not come any better. The quality matches many early Hayashi vases. he rims are silver. It stands 6 inches tall and is signed Ota Kichisaburo. A few years ago we had a similar pair signed by Shibata that were of the same quality. See the last image.

A beautiful set of dangling earrings made with antique Qing Peking Glass Green Leopard Guru beads, trade beads and Vermeil beads (silver dipped in genuine gold). These are for pierced ears only. Very exotic, unique and glamorous!

This is a fabulous Japanese cloisonne vase. It is done in a combination of traditional cloisonne and sculpted silver basse-taille work. The vase stands 6 inches tall and is 5 1/2 wide. It displays great but does have some damage or imperfections to the translucent enamel. This worst can be seen in the last image. There is a feathering in the enamel at the bottom rim. It is much more attractive in hand. The vase has silver rims and is signed Ota Jinnoei.

Beautifully hand carved jade pendant of the mystical fenghuang, or phoenix, with a blooming lotus beside it. The fenghuang symbolizes the union of yin and yang, and each part of its body represents a different word: its head is for virtue, wings are duty, back is propriety, abdomen for credibility, and chest for mercy. Carving has a small hole drilled through the top for wearing on a necklace. 20th century Size: 2.25" height, 1.75" height

Chinese agate snuff bottle with absolutely beautiful formations and ribbons of varying hues of yellows, browns, and navy blue throughout. 20th century Size: 2.75" height, 2.25" width

Beautiful Korean screen with six rice paper panels depicting people amidst gorgeous scenes of nature. Each panel is mostly monochromatic with conservative usage of color in muted shades of yellow, pink, blue, and purple. There are large blooming flowers with a sparrow flying overheard in every panel. Quartz snuff bottle carved with a basketweave design, with an etched, ropey carved texture above and below the woven pattern, with an agate bottle topper. 19th century Size: 3" height, 2.5" width

Beautiful milky white glass vase with enamel paintings of brightly colored birds perched upon branches, with budding flowers of blue, yellow, and pink, and a thin ring of gold around the the mouth. Stamped and signed in back and marked on bottom. Size: 6.25" height, 4.25" width

Adorable and wonderfully detailed jade carving of a sheep, with finely carved wool patterns, eyes with pupil and lids, and hooves. 20th century contemporary. Size: 2.25" length, 1.5" height.75" width

Beautifully carved peking glass lotus, with bright white, pink, and green glass layers. Peking glass is a special process in which glass is dipped into differently colored glass layer by layer, and the excess is carved away. Note the symmetry achieved by the artist. circa 1950s Size: 5.25" height, 5.5" width

Painting of General Chang Kai-Shek by Aimee Annette Lozier, oil on canvas. Aimee Lozier (1900-1996) descendant of the 17th century French painter, Eustache LeSueur, born in Oakland, California. She attended California School of Fine Art and studied under Otis Oldfield. Most well known for character portraits of famous political figures including this one of Chang Kai-Shek. In this painting he stands with hands on his sword, in the background are masses of tiny soldiers. Signed. Dated 19...

Lovely Japanese antique Imari-ware porcelain bowl, eight sided, beautifully painted in traditional Imari colors with details in gold, scenes of mountain pavilions and baskets of chrysanthemums in alternating fan shaped reserves, Meiji Period. Size: 8 3/4" wide diameter x 3 1/8" high.

Chinese slab of jade, carved with an indented circular and a mokko (melon) shape into its surface. It is meant to be used by a calligraphy artist for the grinding and collecting of ink. 18th/19th century Size: 1/4" thickness, 3.75" height, 1 and 5/8" width

Scholar's stones, or gōngshí, are called as such for scholars' appreciation of the stone's unusual shapes, textures, asymmetry, glossiness, color patterns, and even the sound it makes when struck.
