A fundamental form covered in gaseous rusty clouds by Hashimoto Tomonari enclosed in the original signed wooden box. On an unusual note, it is raised ever so slightly on a central foot, allowing it to float just over the surface upon which it rests. The cylinder has a split around the top, a feature the artist uses as an enhancement to the character. A nice impressive size at 20.25” long, this all silver Thai tray features a wide raised edge with hand chased scrollwork and mythical birds. The scalloped rim has a beaded edge and this tray also has four small ball feet on the bottom. It is 85% silver and weighs 680 grams.
