A finely enamelled Japanese export bowl decorated with Chrysanthemums and Peonies between a pair of Fan Shaped reserves of Kiku form. The petals alternating between a gilt leaf and tendril blue brocade and an unusual iron red shaded wash. The veins of the gilt leaves created by the use of a scraffito technique. A large Korean porcelain jar, glazed in a transparent white with slight blue undertones. The upper body is rounded, with a short, flat rim and glazed interior. The lower body tapers down with a slightly fluting foot, left bare along the rim.

A charming porcelain figurine of Fukurokuju, one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Fortune. Fukurokuju is the god of wisdom and longevity, and is easily recognized by characteristics such as his dramatic, elongated forward, his root wood cane, and the scroll he holds. He wears a beautiful, flowing robe with flying cranes accented by gilt outlines. The cranes are an attribute to Fukurokuju as they, too, are a symbol of longevity.

Extraordinary Hagi Chawan made by Seigan Yamane. The bowl is covered with a wonderful draft ice glaze. Mint condition.

Seigan Yamane was born in 1952, and started making Hagi ware in 1987. And then, he started his own pottery in 1992 and has ever been awarded a lot of prizes for his great work.

An exquisite minimalist set of Ten Porcelain tea cups with lacquered wooden covers and saucers made by the Zohiko studio of Kyoto and enclosed in the original compartmentalized signed wooden box. The cups are of simplistic form small round white orvs between the brush textured lacquer lids and saucers. The cups are 3 inches (7 cm) diameter, the saucers 5 inches (12 cm) diameter. Overall in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

An exquisite sake cup from the Asakiri kiln of Akashi decorated with a verse and spray of bamboo enclosed in a period wooden box signed by Yamada Takeshi (descendant of Yamada Kikutaro, Edo period founder of the kiln). It is 5 cm (2 inches) diameter and in excellent condition, likely dating from the Meiji period.

Contemporary Japanese side table. Made with unusual, mixed hardwoods, creating a bold contrast of color and grains. Its tabletop is accented by lighter wood inlay "butterflies" to hold together the natural fissures of the wood. The second tier below is secured into each leg by mortise and tenon joinery.

This antique Mongolian belt evokes the image of Mongolian horseman galloping across the plains... The chain is heavily patinated from age and use. The deeply doomed central medallion retains the original stained dark finish and highlighted gold (unknown source) on the border and central decoration. This piece is heavy... the central medallion is 6+ inches across,3.5 inches wide, and 3+ inches deep.
