A very thinly carved jade cover decorated with a picture on top depicting a scholar holds a lotus flower walking under a pine tree in a rocky mountain. The statuette has a auspicious meaning of “連生貴子 - continuous birth of noble sons” （quote from Terese Bartholomew's book "Hidden Meanings in Chinese Arts). Qing Dynasty. A small Chinese porcelain plate decorated with famille rose enamel depicting a foo dog playing with a colorful ball. A six characters Qianlong mark is on the bottom and it was made in the period. The Plate is in perfect condition. Diameter: 6".

Song Dynasty Jun ware brush shaper or brushwasher. This was originally the base of flower vase which was later reworked into a scholar’s object. The brown clay indicates this was fired in Henan and in my opinion is representative of the kind that was acquired for the Imperial Qing collection rather then the more typical bowls and saucers.
