A rare well potted jar with fine porcelain body and very well painted, in under glaze blue, depicting two flying phoenix amongst scrolling foliage. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) but this item was made later, in the 19th Century, probably circa 1800-1850 during the reign of either the Jiaqing or the Daoguang emperor. Sold This is a wonderful pair of early cloisonne vases. The rich enamels and designs used appear to be that of early Namikawa Sosuke. Each vase features a different roosters and a hens. The vases stand 13 inches tall. Condition overall is excellent. Upon close inspection a 1 inch line can bee seen along with two over sized pits.The owner would consider splitting up this pair.
