Japanese mid-century sosaku hanga woodblock print depicting a horse in a stable by Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997). Signed in black ink at the lower left and with the artist's red seal above. Unlimited edition dating circa 1960. Paper size: 11 1/2" x 17 1/8" (image: 10 1/8" x just over 15"). The print was never framed and is in very good overall condition and color with full margins. There is some waviness to the paper and a couple of the margin corners have creases.

An original limited edition Kiyoshi Saito woodblock print entitled Chapel France that was made in 1960 and numbered 11 of 120. Deep purple hues border a silvery road which visually leads to the bare branches of a tree in winter.
