This piece had been imported to Japan in 14th century by "Tenryu-ji ship", and so called "天龍寺青磁 Tenryu-ji celadon" in Japan. It has peony pattern carved at the inner and outside surface, and fretwork pattern at the inner rim. Certification: by Noriki Shimazu the famous researcher with Asian antiques in Japan. Khmer 12th Century Glazed Stoneware Jarlet

This unusually-shaped small stoneware jar was made during the 12th Century. It has a globular body that flares down into a relatively wide foot with a flat base. The body is decorated with four groups of three vertically incised parallel lines. Around the mouth is a serrated edge.

Height 6 cm. Where the glaze is at its thinnest it has flaked from the surface in places, but there is no restoration or repair.

This is a superbly well carved jade piece dating, I believe, most probably to the Song dynasty, circa 1100AD, although possibly a tad later. The jade is a grayish-green nephrite and is truly the work of a highly accomplished artist. It measures some 3" in length and is 2" in height (7.5cm X 5cm). 1/4" in depth (1mm). A real beauty! Guaranteed authentic to the original purchaser.

Jian ware black glazed bowl with fine russet hare’s fur streaks. Southern Song dynasty. No chips or cracks but there are areas where the glaze from another piece had fallen onto it during firing- the "wabi sabi" is strong in this one, suitable for a Japanese Tea Ceremony.
