A very fine Nanking export blue and white porcelain tea cup and perfectly matching saucer depicting lovely Chinese landscape with a pavillion, mountains, trees, birds and 3 people. Circa 1800. Condition: tea bowl excellent, the saucer has 2 miniscule, inconsequential rim chips.

A folding album titled "Qi Baishi huaji" (Collected paintings of Qi Baishi) with 22 color prints. Rongbaozhai, Beijing 1952, 5th month, no. 507. In brocade covers.

Made from ox horn, and shaped into a perfectly balanced shoehorn, this antique Chinese folk art artifact serves in both form and function. There is a delicately carved design on the back. The handle part of the horn has eyes carved so that the piece takes the shape of an animal and there is a hole carved so that the shoehorn can be hung from a cord. I vaguely remember hearing that the Chinese inventing the shoehorn, but have not been able to verify this as historic fact.

Good early Yuan Dynasty Qingbai bowl from a Jingdezhen kiln. This has a porcelain quality body with a clear bell like ring when tapped. The “spinning lines” that spiral up to the rim, are quite unusual and actually give it some grip when holding the bowl in both hands- ideal for using it as a “chawan” in a Japanese tea drinking ceremony. Very rare pair of Yuan Dynasty Qingbai completely glazed jars with phoenix lids. These are high fired porcelain quality white bodied Jingdezhen wares with “iron rust” splashes and quirky applique figures. One is slightly larger than the other but both are from the same kiln and period. H: 40cm/15.8in x D:18cm/7in and H: 37cm/14.6in and D: 17.5cm/6.9in.
