Chinese Blackwood and Mottled gray Natural Marble top round Stool/table, later part of 1800's, 18" high, 13" diameter, carved Chinese motif on the apron, X stretcher under the marble top and connect to the curved legs, also stretchers are connected to the legs in the lower part, some joint separation in the wood and small area about 1/2" x 1" long area of the one side of the marble was patched by some kind of clay, no nails were used. This stool is heavy and solid piece of furniture.

Very charming Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) made from very beautiful keyaki (zelkova) wood, horizontal slats on its sides, decorative iron hardware including diamond shaped handles with incised scrolling vines, hirute drawer handles, and a cloud-shaped lockplate for a small hinged door with three small drawers inside. Dates from the Meiji period (1868-1912). Original Condition Size: 30" height, 25.75" width, 13.25" depth

Beautiful two-section keyaki (zelkova) tansu with a gorgeous, glowing honey lacquered front and red lacquered top and sides. Its features include large, decorative iron lockplates incised with auspicious symbols, warabite handles with pierced backplates, a lockbox that is, interestingly, on the top section rather than the bottom, with three red-lacquered drawers inside. All original finnish, Dates from the Meiji period (1868-1912). Size: 38.25" height, 41.75" width, 15.75" depth

Antique Japanese Funa Tansu (ship safe chest) made from beautiful Kuri (Chestnut) wood. It has two front sliding panels with an iron lock in its center, and two handles incised auspicious designs. The interior is shelved with a side locking drawer, accented with red lacquer. Three drawers run along the bottom of the chest with squared kakute style iron handles. Size: 22 3/4" high x 26 1/2" wide x 17 3/4" deep.

A pair of unique three part tokkuri by Taniguchi Chojiro consisting of a top, which turned upside down forms the cup, a central ring on which the cup rests, and the bottle, which, when assembled, make the form of a temple bell. Chinese Polychrome painted on Wood Storage Box or Trunk, "as is" condition, 18" high, 26" x 20" wide, wood is light weight, with floral painting on one(1) side, Chinese Opera Scenery on the other side, with metal handle on both side on top of the floral decoration, top doesn't fit tightly, the reed wrapping is loose.

Chinese woven Lacquered Reed Hat Box with lacquer decorated wide wooden band, with metal hinges, 12" high, 17" diameter, round dome top and bottom. Lacquered and painted design of Chinese lady carrying Lantern, and floral lacquer design on the wide wooden band. Metal hinges in front and back are somewhat loose and few metal buttons are missing. There are some normal wear and tear.
