Smooth and serene Marble Shakyamuni Buddha subduing Mara. Robe and base are brown with some fine details and gilding. The head of the Buddha is covered with a multitude of small pointed hairlocks called "Shwebo-thorns" on top of which is the stupa shaped flame. The Buddha is clad in a nice robe showing overlapping folds and decorated bands, which also cover the right shoulder and left arm. This is a unique piece of art showing unusual details, refined carving skill and craftsmanship...

Nine prong bronze bell and matching nine prong bronze vajra (diamond / thunderbolt) with carrying case of patchwork cloth. Used together for spiritual ceremonies. Beautifully rendered design with ritual wear. Bell has dorje design on outer rim, with lotus design on inner bell and a bronze clapper. Nice ringing note when sounded.

Tibetan thangka painting in reverence to the bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. When he is shown having four arms, he is called Chaturbhuja Avalokitesvara. This is his most commonly depicted form. Chatur + bhuja are the two Sanskrit words that mean 'four arms.' He holds a white peony flower in one raised hand, and a stand of mala beads in his other. He is surrounded by various other bodhisattvas, including Mahakala, his wrathful form, below...

Bust of Buddha out of cast bronze. The head is full and the rest of the bust is very thick, almost 1 cm in some places, so the object is very heavy. The casting and the finish are beautiful. The mouth is inlaid with a reddish yellow metal that has not oxidized over time, probably gold, I could check and test the metal on request. The eyes were probably also inlaid because there are 2 deep incised line that are now filled with traces of white color...

An antique Papau New Guinea Yipwon figure of the Alamblak people. Anthropomorphic opposing hook style hardwood carving. A large one such as this was collectively owned by clans and worshipped to bring victory to battles and success during hunting. The Yipwon is the patron spirit of warfare and hunting. Custom metal fabricated stand supports the figure.
