A Rare and Genuine Antique Enamelled BENCHARONG-BENJARONG DOMED COVERED BOWL with a jewel knob/finial; decorated with 5 colors of enamel depicting alternating Budhhist Deities against a black background with flame pattern (Famille Noire). A wonderfull pair of decorative pottery figures of seated Dignitaries or Officials, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.

Elderly men with beards, seated on chairs, with their right arms to the belt and the left to their knees. They are dressed in large dark blue and torqouis colored robes, with a dark blue hats on their heads.

Height: c. 21 cm.

Nice circa 18t/19th century high fired terra cotta Akshobhya Buddha in bhumiparsa mudra and holding a vajra in his lap with traces of original blue, white and gold pigments. This piece appears to have been excavated and the head has been reattached. H: 11cm/4.2in and W: 7.5cm/3in.

Found in the Philippines. Featuring a globular body with carved decoration, supported by a short foot with two flanged wings on opposite sides of its body and a goose formed spout opposite a tail shaped handle, all underneath a rider which possibly represents Brahma, the Hindu god of creation, whose vehicle (Vahana) is the sacred goose (Hamsa), a symbol of purity and divine knowledge for Hindu and Buddhist believers. It is covered overall in a green celadon glaze, stopping well above its foot...
