This stoneware bowl was made at the Sukhothai kilns during the 14th - 15th century. The striking floral / geometric pattern is in underglaze iron-brown on top of a white slip. The honey-coloured clear glaze is finely-crackled. The glaze is at its thickest to the upper surface. On the underside the glaze is thinner and has degraded in places leaving a matt surface. Large Thai 14th - 15th Century Sawankhalok Celadon Bowl

This stoneware bowl was made at the Sawankhalok kilns around the 14th - 15th century. It is coated in an attractive and finely-crackled translucent celadon glaze that has just a hint of blue to it. It has become slightly warped during firing and the glaze has pooled to one side in its centre. To the unglazed base is the round mark of the pontil on which this bowl stood whilst in the kiln during firing...

Vietnamese octagonal form jar with rounded edges decorated around the circumference in eight underglaze blue alternating floral and geometric panels set against a buff ground. A band of lotus leaves at the shoulder extend around the mouth. Unglazed flat base with an unidentified mark applied. 15th century. 3 1/4" high x 3 1/2" diameter. Solidly potted and in very good overall condition. There are a few minor imperfections and glaze flaws...

A large covered box with floral moifs on a grey/light blue underglaze. The bottle with a globular shape and unglazed base.

Sizes: The covered box 10 cm high, 12 cm wide (c. 4 x 4,7 inches.)

Condition: The bottle is superb - as made. The covered box has a chip to the rim. (Not visible when the lid is on). Besides that: as made.

Circular form with blue decorations on a white underglaze. Floral and geometrical motifs.

Size is c. 9 x 9,5 m. - 3,5 x 3,7 inches.

Condition: Choice with smaller chips to the rim of the lid. A vertical hairline crack at the base.

This rare bowl was made during the 16th century. Apart from the unglazed stacking ring and base it is coated in an apple-green glaze, the depth of colour of which varies according to its thickness. There are small areas around the inner wall where the glaze has not covered but this appears to be unintentional.

A Martavan Jar made in Thailand or Burma with a cream glaze on the upper body over a reddish stoneware body, The lower half of the jar is not glazed, and there are two lugs on the jars' shoulder. The jar measures about 12 1/2" tall x 11" in diameter, and it is heavy, about 12 lbs. The Jar dates to the 16th/17th Century and was purchased in Indonesia.
