Porcelain vase. Decor of dragons chasing the sacred pearl, painted in underglaze cobalt blue. The ground is covered with an ochre-greenish enamel. Vietnamese work from the 19th century or before? The vase is very broken as shown in the photos. The broken neck has been replaced by a silver neck on which a stopper has been placed. Height: 24cm.

A wonderfull pair of decorative pottery figures of seated Dignitaries or Officials, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.

Elderly men with beards, seated on chairs, with their right arms to the belt and the left to their knees. They are dressed in large dark blue and torqouis colored robes, with a dark blue hats on their heads.

White porcelain bowl covered with transparent cracked glaze, decorated with volutes in cobalt blue under glaze. Vietnamese work from the 15-16th century. Good condition, normal wear for a centuries-old ceramic, an insignificant chip in the paste on the edge of the foot visible on photo. Diameter: 15cm. Compare with very same bowl ,housed in Birmingham Museum.

A rare and beautifully made lime pot with a crackle glaze. The lime in these pots helped to soften the betel nut, making it easy to chew. Any genuine antique lime pot will show signs of wear and use, those that are perfect, are most likely new. Evidence of a crusty white residue around the mouth should be present, as well as some wear to the glaze. This small lime pot is charming and displays very well. Provenance: found in the Musi River, close to Palembang City, which was the Capital of the SRIVIJAYA KINGDOM and which had a vast trading network with China and Siam. The color of the glaze is exceptionally attractive!
