A rare antique, large cross - crucifix made of wood inlaid with mother of pearl, 17th - 18th century, China (probably Macau).

The cross is formed of two hardwood elements (probably rosewood), a central staff, and a horizontal bar, inlaid with incised and finely engraved mother-of-pearl to depict vines and acanthus leaves.

Both ends of the arms and the top of the cross are shaped like Ruya's heads and inlaid with mother of pearl with lotus flowers and acanthus leaves...

A rare Himalayan hardwood storage chest with a simple hinge top lid. Originally from the foothills of the Himalayas this chest would have been used to keep safe storage of dry goods. All hand carved with geometric designs. Hand forged chain that hooks and secures the lid closed. Original finish with natural coloring. Very sturdy and in pristine condition.

Chinese Mother of Pearl Mahjong Set with Wood Box

The box is 6.6 inches (16.8 cm) tall by 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long and 9.2 inches (23.3 cm) wide. Each tile is 0.4 inch thick (1 cm) by 1.2 inches (3 cm) in length and 0.78 inch (2 cm) wide. The total weight is 9.3 Lb.

The box has hairline, surface wears and scratches. Some tiles have rubbing paints, flea bite chips, surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

A fine Balinese hardwood carving showing the Hindu god Ganesha with his typical elephant head seated on a raised lotus throne. Condition: fine, a bit dusty. Dimension: c. 25.3 cm high, 8 cm deep. For a close depiction please visit the statue TM-15-171 in the "Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam". Collected in situ by a Dutch family in the 1st half of the 20th C.

Wood spoon, its handle finely carved in the shape of a standing female figurine. Nice age patina. Ifugao tribes, Northern Luzon Island, Philippines archipelago. Height: 18 cm. An antique finely hand carved wooden box from Northern Thailand. Has hinges so the cover opens and folds back. Size:length 34 cm x width 23 cm x height 20 cm. (13.5" x 9" x 8"). Rare find!

A Burmese architectual temple carving. Would have been mounted within the structural supports of the temple design. Original pigment of gold and red show well and are vibrant. Hand carved with multi colored glass beads imbedded within each detail.

In Hindu and Buddhist mythology, a Naga is a semidivine being, half human and half dragon serpent. Nagas can assume either wholly human or wholly serpentine form. They live in an underground kingdom filled with beautiful palaces that are adorned with gems. Size; 90cm X 70cm. Condition: two age cracks between the head and body. Overall in very good condition.

An incredible monumental triangular architectural pediment, chua from Thailand. Carved of wood in high relief, the design is of scrolling peony vines entwining monkey figures. The anthropomorphized monkeys, dressed in clothing and with human hands, are suggestive of the Hindu deity, Hanuman. In keeping with the Hindu/Buddhist theme, makara heads emerge from the ends of the scrolling peony vines...

An Indonesian mask carved in the form of a male figure. The mask is carved and painted with expressive eye brows and mustache. These masks are often used in Bali and Java during religious ceremonies performing the legend of the Hindu gods.

Spanish colonial era Philippine Santo, figure of Saint Antonio Abad, estimated to be from mid-19th century, on a base (of perhaps different vintage) 13 inches including base.

Antique Tibetan Buddhist ritualistic bone flute, or kangling. The kangling produces a wailing sound, meant to create a mystical atmosphere during tantric rituals. It is played as a gesture of fearlessness and as a way of cutting off the ego. With silver mounts intricately decorated with floral motifs and dragons, inlaid with turquoise. Antique Indonesian fine wood carved kris handle. The red/brown hardwood carved as a long-haired seated mythical figure with hands on their knees, with scrolling Cirebon (Cloud) motifs throughout. This imagery is tied to tantric Bhairavist cults. Coiled around the neck looks to be a Naga or serpent. The base of the carving is covered by the metal hilt and stands on an iron base.
