A rare antique, large cross - crucifix made of wood inlaid with mother of pearl, 17th - 18th century, China (probably Macau).

The cross is formed of two hardwood elements (probably rosewood), a central staff, and a horizontal bar, inlaid with incised and finely engraved mother-of-pearl to depict vines and acanthus leaves.

Both ends of the arms and the top of the cross are shaped like Ruya's heads and inlaid with mother of pearl with lotus flowers and acanthus leaves...

A rare Himalayan hardwood storage chest with a simple hinge top lid. Originally from the foothills of the Himalayas this chest would have been used to keep safe storage of dry goods. All hand carved with geometric designs. Hand forged chain that hooks and secures the lid closed. Original finish with natural coloring. Very sturdy and in pristine condition.

Chinese Mother of Pearl Mahjong Set with Wood Box

The box is 6.6 inches (16.8 cm) tall by 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long and 9.2 inches (23.3 cm) wide. Each tile is 0.4 inch thick (1 cm) by 1.2 inches (3 cm) in length and 0.78 inch (2 cm) wide. The total weight is 9.3 Lb.

The box has hairline, surface wears and scratches. Some tiles have rubbing paints, flea bite chips, surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

A fine Balinese hardwood carving showing the Hindu god Ganesha with his typical elephant head seated on a raised lotus throne. Condition: fine, a bit dusty. Dimension: c. 25.3 cm high, 8 cm deep. For a close depiction please visit the statue TM-15-171 in the "Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam". Collected in situ by a Dutch family in the 1st half of the 20th C.

Antique Indonesian fine wood carved kris handle. The red/brown hardwood carved as a long-haired seated mythical figure with hands on their knees, with scrolling Cirebon (Cloud) motifs throughout. This imagery is tied to tantric Bhairavist cults. Coiled around the neck looks to be a Naga or serpent. The base of the carving is covered by the metal hilt and stands on an iron base.

The kris or keris is an asymmetrical dagger most strongly associated with the culture of Indonesia...
