Korean 19th Century Joseon Dynasty heavy Elm Wood Coin Chest with Black Iron mounted, Ca. 1860 to 1887, 37" Wide, 19" Deep, 14" high, heavy thick bold grain Elm Wood and Black Iron mounted plus dovetailed each front and back bottom section and also both sides, with hinged Black Iron wooden top, lift up the top to open. One Board thick Elmwood used on each side, front, back and both sides. Half moon shape black iron handles on top of the flower shape backplates on both sides.

A good and large wood hand carved Mandarin duck, traditionally used in wedding ceremonies, with old patina overall, its bottom square carved out for holding. It’s in very good condition with old dark-brown patina due to its age, it measures 19cm high. and 31cm length.

Blue-glazed porcelain carp fish, a Korean scholar’s water dropper. The carp was regarded as a symbol of endurance and never-ceasing ambition - a good example for a calligrapher. The two small holes let out the drops of water needed to make fluent ink out of the hard and dry inkstone surface. Joseon dynasty, probably late 19th century. Width "3/ 7.5 cm, height "1/ 2.7 cm. Condition: fine.
