$500.00 Blue and White Porcelain Memorial Tablet for Park Gi Il from Miryang, Korea, dated May 1830. It declares a long genealogy in the royal Min clan. This epitaph was written upon the passing of Park Gi Il of Miryang in May 1830. It memorializes him and lists his ancestors' names. An important piece of history and a rare and beautiful work of calligraphy painted with blue cobalt on white porcelain. 7.5 x 6 inches, 19 x 15 cm. framed

Sold, Thank you A large Korean Buncheong (Pun-Chong) pottery bottle from the Joseon period (16th-17th century) covered in a creamy white glaze decorated on the flat sides with exaggerated floral scrolls on a dark ground; carved ringlets filled with dark slip on the sides. Color built up over the centuries fills the crackled glaze. The foot ring is rough with sand and excess glaze, and occasional windows in the glaze about the foot reveal the dark clay beneath...

P.O.R. Sculpture of a bald headed man with a serene face, sitting while holding a small cymbal and drum stick in his hands. The cymbal and stick are connected to each other by a cord. The man dressed in Korean garment, as it is worn by Boddhisatva. Lime stone? Inside hollowed out. Korea, Choseon period, 18th century.
Height inches 14.2 inches (36 cm). Excellent condition. Some pits in the surface, some traces of former pigmentation...

A quite large abacus shaped jar rising from the ring foot to the extended sides and ending
above the slanted shoulder in a short, decorated with abstract floral spray in underglaze iron-brown on opposite sides of the vessel, the body covered with a greyish white glaze overall,
burnt slightly brown and orange in the firing.
