A rare Arita export dish decorated in Kakiemon style with a pair of Hoo birds, (Fenghuang or Pheonixes) amongst rocks and flowers, Peonies and Chrysanthemums. The rim decorated with a Bird and vine pattern arabesque. Identical dishes exist painted in this pattern but enamelled in the classic Kakiemon palette. An antique Samurai ammunition box made entirely of Hinoki (Cypress) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware with beautiful aged patina acquired over more than a century and a half of time. Family crest of the original owner as seen on the top of the piece. Hinged lid opens to the storage area below.

A large bronze vase with flat and relief inlays of different metals, gold, silver and sentoku. In cartouches of animated scenes. On the base a row of fabulous creatures and a row of mythological characters. Very beautiful quality model for this style of inlaid bronzes. Japanese work from the end of the 19th century.
