Lovely vintage cast iron Tetsubin. Majority of pot is hailstone covered, leaving spout, handle, and top of pot smooth. Lid contains a small lion character, giving pot a charming quality. Models a small dainty spout.

This is Shibori Kimono produced in Akita Asamai area for Edo period.
As for this, a pattern is Eba-gara. A carp swims in spray like a brick.
The lower part is expressed in dark indigo dyeing Shibori in Shirakage-Shibori at the upper part.
This cotton is spun by hand...

$975 Beautiful Antique Japanese tea kettle. Made in iron, there are vertical striations down the sides of kettle overlayed with bunches of grapes and vines, as well as flying birds. The guard shape of the kettle and handle symbolizes the seasonal autumn months and harvest. The kettle lid models a bronze red two toned beautifully lacquered glazing. Flower like details in bronze circle the top of lid. Inscription inside lid reads Ryubundo, the noted studio produced iron tea kettles.

SOLD Pair of Japanese antique abumi (horse riding stirrups), made of iron with silver inlay all over in beautiful designs of vines and leaves, the bottom of each stirrup is decorated with a bamboo motif, the foot areas are lacquered black, each abumi is inlaid with writing: Kaga Ishikawa Prefecture, Mori Hei Saku (artist's name and "signed by") lived in Komaki. Edo Period (18th century).
Size of each: 9 1/2" high x 11 1/2" long x 5" wide.
