This is beautiful katsugi silk kimono of the Meiji era(1868-1912). It is totally a design of the scenery such as the sumi drawing. This katsugi-kimono is a formal dress. It will be to decorate your room with very Japanese-style peaceful scenery. It is made with good-quality silk of the habutae silk. It has thin stain and damage. However, it does not stand out. size:144cm x 124cm (56.7" x 48.8" )

This is thick hemp Noren of the Meiji period. As for this, words are dyed with black dye. The words are written as Mensa. Probably I think this to be an item of the business to sell noodles. This has several places of thin stains, but does not stand out. The state is good. Size 135cm x 122cm (48 53.1 "x")

This is thick linen Noren used in Shonai area for Edo period. This is dyed with a natural indigo plant densely. As for this, a brown line is cotton. This was used in a merchant's family of Shonai. This does not have a stain and damage. Size 148cm x 91cm (58.2 "x 35.8")

Japanese antique silk shibori Tie-dye & katazome nakagi beautiful kimono Meiji era(1868-1910).It has a few thin stains. Early vintage albumen print of the two large bronze Kannons near the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo, with children. Numbered in Japanese "277". Mounted on coeval cardboard. Condition: fine, minimally faded, left border of photo with a small loss. Dimension: photo: 21.4 cm x 27.4 cm, cardboard: 34.8 cm x 43.9 cm.

A set of two Japanese porcelain cups and saucers with fine decoration in the Imari palette, underglaze blue, iron red and abundantly gold. Cups with a blossom mark. A Tsuiki Jippo Cloisonne Enamel Writing Box (Suzuribako),

The box is formed from heavy gauge copper, the lid decorated with tsuiki-jippo enamels in relief on a raised design of a Shinto shrine in a wooded setting, a Torii and lantern also present. The interior has been applied with a coarse cloth lacquered with both clear and red lacquer in an abstract design and contains a hardwood tray with fitted inkstone and tsuiki-jippo water-dropper...

An underglaze blue and polychrome enamelled Arita bowl and saucer with panels of chrysanthemums supported by canes that suggest crucifixes, separated by panels of bird and trellis design. Early 18th century.

The cup is approximately 8cm diameter, the saucer is 14.8cm diameter...

An Ai-Kutani plate, Arita circa 1700. Decorated in underglaze blue with various molluscs amongst seaweed clad rocks. The back is plain with three spur marks within the foot-rim. Overall the glaze has a blue tinge.

A fine Japanese porcelain plate, the centre painted with a pair of Ho-o birds perched on rocks amongst flowers. There are several versions of this design featuring different borders. This border is unusual, it features three Ming-style elephant headed dragons and a profusion of blooms. The back has a particularly delicate depiction of trailing blooms and an inner border of clouds. The mark is associated with the Old Kakiemon kiln, 1680’s.

The inside of the cup is lined with smooth dark glaze which gleams gold along the rim, while the glistening white outside has been carved away, every divot and ridge a tactile pleasure. It comes enclosed in a wooden box titled Kanka (Quiet, as in: the silent elegance of a flower in bloom). This is a phrase coined by the Edo period Confucian scholar Dazai Shundai in his treatise on The Purple Grass Garden (Shishienko)...

This is a very rare tattered boro textile with a lot of Japanese antique natural Persimmon astringent dyed brown and indigo dye hemp patched with sashiko stitches. The vintage old cloth, which has been repaired and used many times and has faded, is a wonderful work of art in itself and can be enjoyed on both sides.
