Bird's Eye View of Kiyomizu Temple in Snow Date: 1930s. Size: Approximately 5.675 x 3.675 inches. Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo. Artist's oval seal at lower right. Reference: Hotei #Hp-59. Medium: Japanese woodblock print. Condition: Excellent. This marginless print is from a mid-century collection that included another marginless Hasui print. Most examples are found with margins, so it may have been trimmed or issued in this state. The size of Kutani Dog: 7" High x 4 1/4" Wide x 5" Deep.
This is beautiful and adorable Japanese Kutani Dog from 1970's to 1980's about 50 years old vintage Okimono. It has flowers, butterfly and ribbon on neck design. $140 An interesting Hizen-yaki, Arita kilns foliate rimmed bowl. Center decoration of a Chinese scholar in tropical landscape. The cavetto and exterior decorated in the Kraak manner. A spurious four character Xuande mark on the bottom, inside the unglazed high foot rim. 19th century. Good condition. Diameter, about 6 5/8 inches. Height, about 2 2/8 inches.

$140.00 Japanese cigarette case / tobacco box, lacquer on copper with mother of pearl inlay of flowers and birds to both sides. Made in Nagasaki and exported to Europe, where it was given as a Christmas present in 1867 - dedication and date engraved to the inside of the box lid. Measures: 6 " / 15.2 x 3 " / 7.3 cm, height 2/3 ” / 1.7 cm. Condition: the lid with cracks and some loss to the lacquer.

Kiln crack on the white clay area where the impressed mark is located, but not on the black glaze inside the bowl.

SOLD An Arita blue & white porcelain dish decorated with a pavilion and poetry, an equestrian and servant in the foreground. The dish is moulded with a shallow ‘rinka’ edge. The back is plain and has three spur marks within the foot-rim.
