Arashi in Spring” from "New Selection of Noted Places of Kyoto (First Series)" by Miki Suizan (1887-1957) published in 1924 by Sato Shotaro in an edition of 200. Carved by Maeda Kentaro and printed by Oiwa Tokuzo. The black ink signature and red seal of the artist are at the lower right. The red seal of the publisher is on the back. Paper measures 15 3/4" x 11" (image: 15 1/2" x 10 1/2")...

As best I can tell, this is the rare first edition of this print, dating to 1934. Present are both the Watanabe "sausage" seal as well as the red 6mm seal, visible in the lower left corner of the print. The subject is commonly listed as "Snow at Ukimido Temple," and is both rare and highly sought after...

The print depicts a man seated cross-legged drinking a cup of sake with a bowl of fish in front of him. The cross-sectioned torso shows the functions of the internal organs and illustrates the Sino-Japanese concept of digestion...

Oversized limited-edition Japanese woodblock print by Joshua Rome (b. 1953) titled “Fuyu no Hi (Winter's Day)” dated 2/15/1981. The bottom margin is titled, dated, numbered 30/100 and signed in pencil. The artist's red seal is beside the signature. Paper: 9" x 24 5/8" (image: 6 11/16” x 21 5/8"). Very good overall condition. The print is very lightly sunstruck and there are tiny brown spots about the size of the tip of a pin scattered throughout the paper.

The bottom margin corners are a little wrinkled and the paper at the back upper edge is slightly distressed from tape removal.
