The name of the potter is carved near the foot ring. Ohashi Shuji was known as the man of refined taste who enjoyed tea ceremony and painting. He worked under Ogata Shuhei in Kyoto creating the works of various ceramic styles such as Seto, Karatsu, Hagi, Korai, and Mishima...
