Pencil-signed, numbered 7/50, and pencil-titled in Chinese and English in the lower margin. Very good overall condition with minor soiling and paper discoloration to the front, sight creasing and toning of the edges, and toning to the back. Paper size: 29 7/8" x 22"...

Modern limited-edition Japanese etching by Takahiko Hayashi (b. 1961) titled “The Wind Filled with Roots, Countless Small Beginnings” dated 2001. Pencil-signed, titled in kanji, and numbered 45/50 in the bottom margin. Paper: 25” x 23” (frame: 26” x 23 1/2"). Very good overall condition. Floated on an archival mat in a shadow-box frame with UV glass. The wood moulding has a coppered finish. From a Tucson, Arizona collection.

Two pieces of urumi-zome cloth which are made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. Urumi-zome is katazome (stencil-resist-dye) imitating shibori-zome (tie-dye) and it requires more process than common katazome to make blurring like shibori. Both have rips but other part of the cloth is not weak. The right one has a patch in the back. The second half of the 19th century. Right one:75cm x 126cm, Left one:65cm x 126cm

4 sheets of Chiyo-gami with autumn leaves designs which are woodblock prints. The paper is washi, a handmade paper made from mulberry fiber. Chiyo-gami was originated in Kyoto and developed in Edo later. It was used for paper dolls and paper crafts. Generally the larger one is the older. Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) titled “Samurai with an Umbrella” by Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992). The print is pencil-signed with the artist's red seal, dated ’82, and numbered 34/50. The bottom right corner has a small "80" in pencil. Paper size: 20 1/4" x 13 1/2." Very good, clean overall condition. A tiny pencil notation with a prior owner's name "Hansen" is on the back bottom edge.

Contemporary Japanese limited edition etching titled “Jalousie” by Ryoko Hirone depicting a nearly empty seat on a bus with cropped figures at the side of the frame and an abandoned umbrella. A crowded street is visible through the window next to a British Airways advertisement. Pencil-signed, titled, and numbered 10/30 in the lower margin.
