Antique Japanese single section tansu with a lacquered keyaki front and top, black lacquered sides and front frame. It has round iron lockplates, decorated with a large kiri leaf, warabite handles, and a side lockbox. Size: 35" height, 42" width, 16.5" depth

Antique Japanese todana mizuya (kitchen cabinet) made from a beautiful keyaki burl wood in reddish brown hues, with two sets of sliding panels, 8 drawers in varying size, and one pull-out panel with a ring handle. It has a very interesting and unusual form, with slats running down its sides and back. The inside of the top set of sliding panels has an aged sheet of paper marked with kanji. Edo age, circa 1870 Size: 49.75" height, 39" width, 18" depth

An antique Japanese Todana Tansu made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Original iron hardware including the Warabite handles. Eight drawers and a pair of sliding doors allows for spacious storage. Original used in Japan as a family multi-purpose storage chest, it would function well as a buffet or sideboard chest.

Antique Japanese zeni bako, or money box, made from keyaki (zelkova) wood with a very defined, textural woodgrain. It has a slot in its top for deposting money and a single front drawer with decorative lockplate. From the Fukushima region. Size: 6" height, 7.25" width, 12.5" length

Antique Japanese two section kimono tansu made with all natural finish Kiri (paulownia) hardwood. Adorned by handles and middle round metal lock incised with floral motifs. The upper section houses six long, shallow drawers for folded clothing, while the lower section holds three large drawers.
