A large and stunning vase by Nakamura Shuto made for the Shobido Art Company enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 12 inches (30 cm) tall, 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) across the base and in excellent condition.

Set of 6 antique charming Japanese celadon shaped porcelain fish plates. The plates are decorated with red and gold scales and gold fins. They measure 9.25" long 5.5" tall. the bowl is supported with a round rim on the base, it is coated with a pale turquoise glaze. Meiji period pre-1900.

Six matching antique Imari plates with the classic black ship design showing Dutch ships and sailors. The plates measure about 1 1/4" high x 9 3/4" in diameter, and date to the end of the Meiji period. They are all in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Add some punch to your table with this colorful set of six vintage Japanese luster eggshell porcelain cups and saucers, circa 1930, richly hand painted with a detailed butterfly design on bright burnt orange ground. Marked Made in Japan. The set is 2 5/8 inches high by 6 inches wide, the cup is 2 inches high by 4 inches wide, and the saucer is 3/4 inch high by 5 1/2 inches wide. Namban (or Nanban, Southern barbarian) decoration of a foreign figure, with dog, falconing in picturesque landscape. Painterly shironuki decoration in the cavetto of cranes flying among clouds. Edo period, Circa 1800. Good condition for its age, with two small chips inside the foot rim and a small glaze abrasion just above the foot rim. About 3 15/16 inches (10 cm) square.

A small covered Japanese Imari jar, decorated with flowers, trees, leafs and butterflies. The jar measures, with lid, about 8 1/2" high x 4 1/2" in diameter, and dates to the turn of the Century. The condition is excellent with some wear from use. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

A delicately painted Satsuma pottery jar with two courtyard scenes of daily life for the Japanese elite. The rest of the jar features a complex ground of various patterns. Small porcelain ko-sometsuke plate made in China for the 17th century Japanese market. Blue and white design of three running rabbits. A bird, possibly a phoenix flies in the sky. Around the rim of the plate are four galloping horses. The underside of the plate is decorated with three thin blue rings and a simple dot pattern. The edges of the plate and the many small irregularities in the firing are especially prized in this type of ware...

Imari palette decoration in three reserves, each of a figure among blossoming karakusa, in the cavetto. The center with blue underglaze decoration of Shishi with auspicious objects. The verso also with decoration in blue underglaze of precious objects around the raised, glazed ring feet surrounding a recessed, unglazed band around glazed, further recessed center...

Small food dish for vegetables, relish etc. of round shape with small indentations in the rim. Thin, light colored stoneware, covered in cream-colored glaze with very fine crackle and pinkish brown swirls. In the bottom a highly stylized kotobuki character (longevity) in iron brown and three green glaze splashes on the rim. Glazes have left a few spots uncovered. Oribe ware, Japan, early Taisho era, 1920s.
