SOLD A fine small ivory okimono of Jurojin holding a peach with a deer at his side. The figurine measures 2.25" (5.7 cm) high. Signed on bottom, it is in excellent condition. Price $650 USD.
The ivory stand does not go with the okimono, but we like them displayed together. Stand measures 1.75" (4.4 cm) and has some age cracks, but it is solid. Stand price $125 USD.

$995.00 An impressive magnifying glass with a carved ivory handle with 18 natural red coral beads. We believe the ivory handle to be a Meiji period Japanese parasol handle and sometime in its history converted to a magnifying glass. In very good antique condition with all beads intact, the handle measures 5 inches x 1 1/8". Magnifying glass with handle is 10.5 inches long.

$365 DESCRIPTION: A handsome Japanese hibachi, crafted from a section of kiri wood (paulownia wood) with rounded body and lacquer floral designs. Inside is the original copper liner where coals would be placed for heating or keeping a tea pot warm. Two large peony blossoms are lacquered in gold and orange on the front, with smaller leafed branches on the reverse. Paulownia wood is very light, fine-grained, and warp-resistant, and is often used in Japan for chests and boxes...

SOLD Antique Japanese chop case made of boxwood and carved with a beautiful lady. The Inside of the box is still coated with powdered orange-red seal ink, at the base of the box is a semi circular bead made of amber, the top of the box is closed with a bead of bone and a smaller one of coral, the toggle is the shell of a cone snail, the sea creature hunts with a venomous barb.

A mask of a grimacing old man, carved of light wood, maybe hinoki, with gesso and polychrome pigments, inset with gray horse mane hair. The inside with brown lacquer and residue of two old paper labels. Condition: pigment and hair losses, old color mends. Dimension: 18 cm high x 14 cm wide.

This Fudo has been wonderfully and carefully carved with a large wall of purifying flames behind him. He has large, vengeful glass eyes and wields his sword called Kurikara in his right hand, and a rope in his left with which to bind and subdue demons...
