Rare and fine bronze sculpture of an unknown deity. Good patina, probably an excavated piece. H. 9 cm, W. 6 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.
In the centre a sculpture of one of the 24 Tirthankaras. The back plate decorated with small sittimg Tirthankaras and attendants. Made in Karnataka or Maharashtra in the 17th or 18th century. Dimensions: 28x17x8,5 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.

Three rectangular differently sized and slightly convex silver plaques with floral decoration in blue enamel. Attached to a traditional silk and gold thread cord with adjustable sliding knot. From an old Swiss collection. Dimension of amulets: 9 cm x 7.5 cm and approx. 5.8 cm x 4.7 cm, cord c. 100 cm long, weight: 132 g. Condition: two amulets with default to lugs, enamel with partial losses.

The Buddha with earlobes touching shoulders extends his right arm out while the left arm holds his robe aside. The base is rounded. Obtained in Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 19th century. SOLD An unmounted Tibetan thangka of the Buddha Dipakar. The Buddha appeared prior to the historical Buddha, Shakyamuni. Legends of the Buddha's past lives tell of how in a past life when Shakyamuni was a human, he met Dipankar and offered his hair to cover the path the Buddha Dipankar was walking and Dipankar Buddha predicted that the man would become the next Buddha. This Mughal piece was made of a zinc alloy inlaid with flower patterns of silver and brass. A similar huqqa base in the book "Bidri Ware, inlaid metalwork from India" by Susan Stronge is dated in the first half of the 18th century. H. 18 cm. Diameter 16 cm. Very good condition with the inlay intact.
Large and heavy piece, 500 grams of silver, finely cast and in good condition. Diameter 12,5 cm outside and 7 cm inside. H. 10,5 cm.
Made in the first half of the 20th century. Marked on the inside with an "M".
The detacheable central Tirthankara surrounded by other Tirthankaras, two elephants holding his princely parasol, his throne supported by two lions. On the back there is a lengthy inscription, holding the date 1674 in Samvat, which is 1617 in the Western calendar. The shrine is inlaid all over with silver. H. 28 cm, W. 19 cm. Condition: some old damage and an old repair to the thinly cast back of the stand. Otherwise in wonderful original condition.
